BibleChat was created to help you engage Scripture and build consistent spiritual habits through technology. Our application is a safe, intentional space designed to support Bible reading, study, and reflection.

You choose what you access. You choose what you share. Your data is yours. BibleChat Studio LLC ("BibleChat," "us," or "we") does not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third-party advertisers for their own advertising purposes.

Brief Overview of Information Collected

Inferences (Content preferences and reading interests)	To suggest Bible Plans, devotionals, and reading recommendations that match your interests and usage patterns.
Financial Info (Donations)	Processed via third parties (e.g., Stripe/PayPal) for voluntary contributions only. We do not store full payment card details on our servers.

Definitions

Throughout this policy, "BibleChat" refers to our mobile applications, websites (biblechat.app), and related services. We refer to unregistered users as "Visitors" and registered account holders as "Members." Collectively, we refer to all as "Users" or "you."

Information We Collect and How

Personal Information You Provide

You do not need to sign up for an account to use basic BibleChat features. However, by creating a Member account, we can provide a more personalized experience. We may request your first name, last name, and a valid email. You may optionally provide your age, gender, a profile picture, and User Contributions.

User Contributions

BibleChat allows you to create and store content such as notes, prayer drafts, reflections, and AI chat conversations (collectively, "User Contributions"). Some features may allow you to post or share content publicly ("Posts"), such as community prayer walls or Verse Images. Public sharing is optional and done at your discretion.

Automatic Data Collection

We use cookies and similar technologies (SDKs, pixels, tags) to recognize your device and understand how the app performs. We do NOT use these for third-party behavioral advertising. We use them to:

• Maintain session preferences and account security.
• Analyze aggregate usage (traffic data, logs, browser language) and improve reliability.
• Measure installation and campaign performance (attribution) to understand which marketing efforts lead to downloads and subscriptions.

Depending on your build and region, we may use analytics or attribution providers (for example, Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics for Firebase, or similar services) to help us understand app performance and usage.

Artificial Intelligence (AI)

BibleChat may provide features that generate or summarize content using AI (for example, chat-based study assistance, verse explanations, prayer drafting, or devotional suggestions).

• AI-Generated Content Notice: AI-generated responses are produced automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. They are intended for informational and spiritual reflection purposes only and should not be considered professional advice.
• Processing: AI processing may occur on your device or on servers we or our trusted providers operate, depending on the feature and your device capabilities.
• Third-Party AI Providers: Some AI features may involve trusted third-party AI service providers that process your input solely to generate the response you request. We require these providers to protect your data and to use it only to provide the service (not for advertising purposes).
• Model Training: We do not allow your private prayers, private notes, or private chat content to be used for third-party providers’ general model training. Internally, we may use de-identified and aggregated data to improve our features and safety.
• User Control: You can delete your AI conversations, notes, or account data through in-app settings (where available) or by contacting us.

Disclosure of Your Information

We do not share your personal data with third-party ad networks for their own advertising purposes. We disclose data only to:

• Service Providers: Hosting, storage, analytics, attribution, customer support, and AI service providers who process data on our behalf and are contractually required to protect it.
• Licensed Content Providers: Some licensed Bible translations or content features may require license validation or access controls. Where additional sharing is required beyond what is necessary to provide the feature, we will request your consent when applicable.
• Legal Requirements: To comply with applicable law, enforce our Terms, protect users and the public, or respond to lawful requests from authorities.

Your Rights: Access, Correction, Deletion

You have the following rights regarding your personal data and User Contributions:

• Deletion: You may delete your account at any time. When you request deletion, we will delete or de-identify your data consistent with applicable law and legitimate business needs (for example, fraud prevention, security, and legal compliance). Deletion typically occurs within 14–30 days, although some backups may persist for a limited period.
• Access: You may request a copy of the personal data you provided to us in a portable format.
• Modification: You can edit your profile and certain content through the app settings (where available).

Children's Privacy

We comply with applicable children’s privacy laws and the Age of Digital Consent in your jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children where parental consent is required without obtaining such consent. If you believe a child has provided personal data without appropriate consent, please contact us so we can take appropriate steps.

Security and Protection

We implement reasonable safeguards to protect data in transit and at rest. However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute protection against unauthorized access.

International Users

BibleChat may be operated from the United States or other regions where our providers maintain infrastructure. By using the Service, you understand that your data may be processed in countries where data protection laws may differ from those in your home country.
